NextDimension - Portables

NextComputing flextop capabilities

High-Performance Mobile Workstations

Our line of mobile workstations differs from other computers because they are designed to match the performance of stand alone workstations, while being as portable as a briefcase.

Built to deliver outstanding performance, the NextDimension series combines support for top-of-the-line graphics cards and the latest in dual- and quad-core processing from Intel and AMD for high-end, 3D and 4D rendering capabilities and extremely high data transfer rates.

And with configurations offering over 3 terabytes of storage, the NextDimension line offers some of the highest internal storage capacities on the market.

Even with all this performance and storage, the NextDimension Pro, Pro HD, Evo, and Evo HD are still small enough to hand-carry, so you can take the power of a high-performance workstation with you wherever you need it.

All the NextDimensions feature:

  • Lightweight, reliable, easy to use
  • Innovative hard disk brackets for drive security and easy swapping
  • Latest in dual- and quad-core processing from AMD and Intel
  • Modular, open standards design makes upgrading easy and affordable

And for added security, the NextDimension line supports the Pre-Boot Execution Environment (PXE) when configured with the AMD Opteron™ 940 socket set, allowing it to boot from a server on a network (via PXE boot), instead of from a internal hard drive. The system is effectively a thin client, or lean client, with no need for internal drives. Thus, all data can be stored securely on an external network source without being retained on the individual system.

"NextComputing's already impressive lineup of portable, field-ready servers, and workstations should see a significant performance boost from the addition of native quad-core processing."
